　　At first glance, stacking cups may not seem as exciting as other sports. However, it has become one of the fastest-growing sporting events in the world. Sport stacking was first practiced in 1981 at a Boys & Girls Club in California. The teacher, Wayne Godinet, challenged the kids to stack plastic cups as quickly as they could. The kids loved the activity, which requires both speed and hand-eye coordination. Over the next few years, Godinet designed special plastic cups with holes in the bottom for even faster stacking. He also organized the National Cupstacking Championships every year.
